The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department at Genentech is seeking a highly motivated scientist (contractor) to join the Metabolomics and Lipidomics group under the Bioanalysis (BA) function. The DMPK department envisions to advance the development of safe and efficacious life-changing therapeutics for patients as an integral partner under Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED). Our group’s mission is to empower drug research, discovery and development processes across the organization by producing high-quality metabolomics & small molecule biomarker analysis using cutting-edge technologies and high throughput workflows in support of biochemical assessment and biomarker discovery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and routinely apply qualitative and quantitative metabolomics & lipidomics analyses across various biological matrices to support small molecule biomarker discovery, as well as drug discovery and development.
- Ability to develop and perform LC-HRMS based bioanalysis including sample preparation, as well as instrumental analysis and troubleshooting.
- Develop and apply LC-HRMS and LC-MS/MS methods to acquire high-quality qualitative and quantitative mass spectrometry data.
- Perform quality control of experiment and data with common bioanalytical practices and critical thinking.
- Perform MS raw data processing using commercial and in-house scripts, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
- Collaborate, communicate and present study results to cross functional stakeholders.
